♥ May Favourites

May was the craziest month for me. On Monday the 16th, I handed in my dissertation - signalling the end of my degree and my three years in Falmouth. Because of that, it was a pretty hectic month, but since handing in my final piece of work, it's meant the only stresses I've had concerned my job, my finances and moving back home. Now that I have loads more free time, I'm enjoying trying out new things makeup wise and spoiling myself a little. I put some great new products to the test this month and fell back in love with an old favourite from last summer!

♥ Daytime Eyes | Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette

When the Urban Decay Smoky Palette was announced I was so excited. It was the first palette they had released since I'd really, really starting liking my makeup and I wanted it so badly. I was aware of how much of a cult status the original Naked palettes had become and I desperately wanted to jump right on the band wagon with this palette. I already owned the Naked 2 palette, and adored that so I knew exactly how brilliant this would be. Now that I've had it for almost a year, I realise, I've fallen short. I've never really found enough excuses to put it to really good use for what it was designed for - a killer smokey eye look - maybe because I don't go out of an evening and I don't drink. Instead, while I was home, I bought it with me and I was determined to use it as much as possible. Here's the great go-to daytime look I created with it...

♥ Budget Brushes Review | Morphe & Bdellium Tools

Back at the beginning of the month, I posted a huge Beauty Bay haul that featured some really great budget brushes. I've been putting them to the test for a few weeks now and I thought it was about time I share my thoughts on them!

♥ First NYX Haul!

I'm going to start this post by saying a huge sorry for being silent on the blogging front for the last two weeks. A week ago, I finished my degree and handed in my dissertation! So insane. I thought I'd be able to keep posting but I wanted to spend as much time as possible checking over my work and creating something I was really proud of and I managed to do that - but it meant I had no time at all for writing up blog posts and taking photos. I wanted to post all last week, but I had nothing to say and came straight back to Birmingham to work and I've been working all weekend, so again, I had no time to dedicate to blogging.. I'm back now though, and that's what matters and what better way to get back into it with a little NYX haul?!

♥ Realistic Early Morning Routine

There was once a time I'd sleep in at every given opportunity. I'd miss 9AM lectures because I couldn't get out of bed and I would stay up until 3AM and obliterate any chance of a productive morning. Now, though, I'm a changed woman. I prefer the morning shift at work when I'm there (it starts at 5:30AM) and I am determined to force my body to wake up early every single day... There are a few things that make it much easier, though.

♥ Beauty Bay Haul | Make Up Geek Shadows and Morphe Brushes

Over the bank holiday weekend, I had a little splurge on Beauty Bay. My basket had been pretty full for a while, and I kept going back and looking over the Make Up Geek shadows and picking shades out and finding excuses as to why I needed them. I was also desperate to try a few more Morphe brushes, so I bit the bullet and went a little overboard. Carry on reading to find out exactly what I bought.

♥ Make Up and Me

I can't remember when  exactly it was I started wearing makeup, but I know I was what most people would consider young. I must have been wearing it right through secondary school, and I can remember being ten or eleven and coating every last lash with mascara. It probably didn't look too great and I no doubt went a bit overboard from time to time, but I liked how it made me look...  I was inspired by the 'Power of Makeup' tag on YouTube, I wanted to do something similar, and so I felt it appropriate to dedicate a little post of the same nature to my own beauty and makeup habits.
